I had a similar problem while testing 6.1 RC1 on Fedora Core 4. It appears to be a conflict with SELinux. I was able to work around the problem by temporarily disabling SELinux while (re)staring Kerio MailServer.

/usr/sbin/setenforce 0
/etc/init.d/keriomailserver start
/usr/sbin/setenforce 1

I have not looked into this any further yet, but there should be a way to permanently allow MailServer to do what it needs to, without temporally disabling SELinux. Please post back here if you figure that out (I will too).
