Does anyone know when the next major release of KMS (6.0?) will be released?

More important, what are the major new topics that the development team is working on.
Will version 6.0 contain some long-awaited groupware features (e.g. calendars + sharing)?

Kind regards,
Peter

It's supposed to be available in March. There should also be a public beta in the middle of February.

The demo at MacWorld of 6.0 has a very sexy WebMail interface
(totally new) that has Calendar built-in. Looked like it is ready to
release. Doesn't even feel like a beta. The only question I asked was
"how much" and when Brian told me "free", I left immediately before
he can change his mind so never got around to asking him "when". I
got the impression it is very soon.

Can you post an URL or something about the demo version? I am very curious.

I meant I saw a "demo" at the MacWorld Show in SanFran. I did not
mean to imply that there is a "demo" version that you can download.
Kerio can comment on the timing of the release and whether a beta is
available for download. From what I saw, the Webmail got a total
rewrite and looked like an entirely new "product". I think our users
will all love this new GUI and it will raise the bar for all other
Webmail products which are mostly kludges bolted on to a POP/IMAP
mail server (like 4D Webstar's) and Tenon's approach.

With the ratio of Spam to legit Email shifting dramatically the bad
way, having a good Webmail GUI will help all of my users who spend a
lot of time on the road using dialup to pick up mail. My own POP
client is getting over 70% spam AFTER having set SpamAssassin to a
threshold of 4.0. Even though my Eudora POP client can filter about
75% of the downloaded spam, it still wastes a lot of bandwidth when I
am on the road having to use dialup, turning a 56K modem into the
equivalent of a 1200 baud modem for downloading mail. I see Webmail
becoming more and more important for my mail users and I can imagine
soon over half of my users will switch to using webmail as their ONLY
GUI to their mailbox, just like folks who use yahoomail, eudoramail,
and hotmail. The Kerio 6.0 Webmail will make that transition much
easier for us who have to listen to user gripes.

I use Webmail also very often as mail GUI. Sometimes I switch even from Outlook Express to Webmail to delete spam, because Outlook (Express) will open the mail in preview-pane and then it "triggers" the images in the mail (which could contain encoding in the URL).

Hope the new version has more integration with Outlook instead of Outlook Express. Because this would be more handy with the use of my Pocket PC. Then emails and contact can be synced with my Pocket PC and Outlook. Outlook Express doesn't contain this feature.

Along with the release of the 6.0 version of KMS, there will also be released a MAPI plug-in for big Outlook. There will be a new build of KMS available before the end of January (build 5.7.5) that will fix some of the spam problems that happened with the release of 5.7.3.

No, there probably won't be a list released on the net prior to the new build being released. This has not been done in the past releases.

I have a question concerning licensing the next major release:

Does anybody know, if I can udgrade to the mentioned release, if I buy KMS today?

I'm very interested in these new features, so I'm thinking about waiting until this version is released...

Thanks for the help

Whenever you buy KMS, you automatically get a subscription service for one year included. The subscription service allows you to upgrade to new versions of KMS.
