Hi, experienced users !

We are testing KMS 6.0.7 since some days and have many user reclamations of long waiting for the transmission of larger emails from Outlook Express clients per smtp to KMS.
I have checked it and it is so. We have fast 100MBits network, fast workstations and a fast Win2003 Server(AMD 2400+ / 768MB RAM) and only some %CPU usage...

Who knows something about this ?
Are there any known adjustments ?
What is the cause ?

thx
Peter

I saw this problem with Outlook Express and also sending the large mail through webmail using Internet Explorer. Thunderbird and Firefox were both fast. I finally tracked it down to a hub in the network that was causing the problem for KMS.

The real issue for me was that all of our other network apps worked fine with this hub. Other mail server programs tested had no problems sending large attachments through the hub using OE, IE or anything else. It was restricted to only KMS, OE/IE and the hub.

I went through the whole thing with tech support and they couldnt come up with anything.

Have you tried v6.0.10? Try a small test bed with some different network hardware.

Thx, but no better result - it is always the same - about 38 seconds for the transmission of an 9MB email from the OE-workstation to the Kerio-Server.
Does anybody else know this slow behavior ?
Is this because of 32 smtp-delivery threads (default) ?
