We were having an issue setting up an autoresponder that gave users that mailed a support box issues verification that the email was received.
To overcome the shortcomings of the Out of Office notification ( 1 email per email address once every 7 days) we created a public folder and a user with the support email address attached to it.
We then created an email filter that handled the condition "For all messages". We then set the actions for you rule "Send autoreply" and set the text accordingly. and then selected a second condition of "Move it to the specified folder" and moved it to the public folder.
We then changed vacation :days "7" to vacation :days "0" so that each user gets the autoresponder message for each email they send.
You will also need to write a rule that looks for the email address in the To: field for the account that is sending the autoresponse so that a loop is prevented. Also move it to the top of the list.
