check your DNS and relay server. Kerio inform you that it can not resolve DNS name. Are you sure that relay server really exist and you can PING it from Kerio PC ?

The problem is still there but it is strange:

most of the mails do arrive but some mails keep coming back in the mail queue
trying to resend doesn't help.

Some messages are to Kerio users and some from Kerio users to hotmail users.

The used relay server does work
Pinging to the server does work
Pinging from the server to whatever domain sais:

ping: unknown host

It runs Fedora Core 2.

It keeps saying 4.4.1 Cannot find relay server in DNS

This mails also don't arrive.

Please help me out on this! Is it something in security settings? something else?

IMHO it is the problem of OS settig & configuration (DNS) and/or correct data from DNS-server of ISP.

This server doesn't run DNS, DNS is hosted somewhere else so the DNS file is empty I guess but most mails arrive, some don't (like some hotmail addresses)

I didn't say that this server has to run DNS. I just said that your system doesn't work correctly. Not KMS.

Do you have a DNS server or gateway server bound to that NIC? It sounds like it is not doing any address resolution at all. You could add the relay server to /etc/hosts if your DNS is inaccessible or whatever. You can also add the lines:
search domain.foo
nameserver IP of nameserver

You can add more nameserver lines as you wish. The resolve order is each nameserver in order in /etc/resolv.conf then /etc/hosts.

But yeah, everyone else is right, check your DNS.
