I'm using Keriomail 6.1.0

Everytime I start a new email and i start typing my message, it starts to double space my message and i can't change the setting. I've looked everywhere in the options and there is no rule where i can change it from double to single space. Sometimes I exit out and try again and all of a sudden it goes back to single space. Does anyone know of a solution or why this problem is occuring?

This is caused by the underlying HTML <P> tag that gets inserted upon hitting 'enter'. This will leave an empty line between paragraphes (this is standard in HTML). I've noticed this behaviour also. It happens to me if I place the cursor next to my (automatically inserted) signature. So when it happens to me, I just backspace the empty lines until I am away from the signature and then 'enter' will work just fine.

Another way is to use 'shift-enter' (instead of 'enter') in cases where this is troubling you. This will insert a HTML <BR> (=break) tag instead of <P> and this will not insert an empty line.

PS: 'Shift-enter' is a nice thing, for example also in Word. Basicly, 'shift-enter' inserts a new line without a new paragraph. In Word, paragraphes define the borders of formatting styles etc., so being able to get to a new line while still being in the same paragraph can be very handy indeed. For example in bulleted lists ("give me a new line, but within the same bullet-item").
