Hallo. I have following problems. After installing Winroute Firewall I can't see any of my LAN's PC in My Network Places. I can however ping every LAN machine by name and IP address. Here comes the second problem. When a VPN client connects to the server it's all OK but I can't browse any machine by its name. For example I can write in explorer \\ and then can browse resources but I can't write \\PC111. Also I can't even ping any LAN machine from the VPN client by name neither I can ping the VPN client from LAN machine by its name (DNS server doesn't work???)

Here's my configuration:

Traffic policies:
S: VPN clients; D: Any; S: Any; A: Allow
S: Firewall; D: Any; S: Ping; A: Allow
S: Dial-in, Internal LAN; D: INet connection; S: Any; A: Allow
S: Dial-in, Internal LAN, Firewall, VPN Clients; D: Dial-in, Internal LAN, Firewall, VPN Clients; S: Any; A: Allow
S: Firewall; D: INet connection; S: Any; A: Allow;

LAN addresses: 192.168.1.x, mask:
VPN server address:, mask:
DNS forwarding:, yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy (my ISP DNS servers), (server IP),

I've read other articles about such problems here in the forum but nothing like my case. What else can I do to solve problems described above?

Thank you in advance.

I believe you can only browse by name (on other IP subnets then your own), if the DNS server you use gets updates from the DHCP server. This would be the case if the KWF is both your DHCP and DNS server (if you turn on the DNS option to look in the DHCP lease table). Another option is using a specific WINS resolution server. Or something, I do not know too much about Windows networking.
