Hi there,
I have setup kerio, so the users must be logged on to access web services. Does anyone knows how can I setup client computers to "auto" login? There is, after the user log out, or if the user does not use any web service for a period, kerio automatically logs out the user.

Is there any way to the user be automatically login when he access IE.

Thank you

There are several ways to achieve this. You could try reading the manual obout authentication...

User logon can happen automatically if you set the authentication options (users/authentication options). Version 6 has a problem with automatic authentication. The first time fails. A retry (press refresh button of browser) is needed.

What about Edit User - IP addresses tab? Over here you can set IP address of your client so it is automatic login.

If you use this, you need to set the auto logout time to a few minutes so if the user is not on his/her pc nobody can go through the firewall.

If you use automatic logon based on the ip address of the user means that alle traffic generated from the pc of the user will be traffic authorized as that user. Automatic logout has no effect. If the machine did not generate traffic for the time-out period and then sends new traffic the logon automatically happens. Every person using that computer will use the internet on the name of the user you assigned to the ip address.

If you use the automatic logon of IE the logon will be done with the credentials for the current user of the machine (NT account). Automatic logout is usefull here to make sure a different user cannot use the internet on the account of the previous user. Another point is that services running with a different NT account (mostly system) cannot use the internet because the account is not known until the user self uses the internet. Remember that the firewall cannot see which process is sending the packets. It assumes that alle traffic from the machine is traffic of the current user.
