Question about KMS, which I'm considering.

We use a Treo 650 email program that uses IMAP. It uses the IMAP IDLE command to push new messages to the Treo, which I see KMS supports.

I do not see, however, what the IDLE timeout is (in seconds) anywhere in the manuals, FAQs, Help File, or in an administration console that I've been able to play with at a client's site.

I know that in other email servers, the IDLE timeout can be configured for a value ranging from about 60 seconds to about 2 days (!).

So, can anyone tell what the IMAP IDLE timeout is by default, and how one can change it, or what its maximum value is?

I currently use my Treo 650 with KMS 6.1p6. Although I've had no major problems using Versamail with KMS, I find using the Web application to be faster and quite workable.

Although I didn't change any of the IMAP idle settings for my Versamail config, you can find them in the mailserver.cfg file. In mine the settings are:

Good luck and enjoy that Treo,
