Thanks for the replies to my "exchange to Kerio" post.

First we need to replace our EX 5.5 with something. Our users use Outlook 2003.
They don't use any plugins for palm sync or the like. We have a couple of laptop users but I feel the webmail is good enough for them to use when not in the office.
Rules are used by some users.
All users have large mail boxes (8,000+ messages), but these are in the main part, devided in to folders of around 200 - 400 messages.

We are a small company - to upgrade our Exchange would mean getting a 'meaty' server, changing our NT domain to 'active Directory' and upgrading our veritas backup and once you add up all the modules is a expensive thing in it's own right.
That said - from the top-down my users will make my life hell if their outlook experience is too bad.

The spam features of Kerio are nice but not important. I wouldn't put exchange on the internet so set up a Exim relay host that does spam and virus scanning, as well as content filtering.

I have just ordered a server with a 3Ghz Xeon, 2Gb of Ram and a 160Gb SATA HD. This is intended to be used for the server. It will be running Linux. Once it arrives I'll configure it with more 'real' mailboxes and test it further.

The issues raised by my previous post are mainly to do with KOC.
What I'd like to know now is how frequent are they, have any been fixed in 6.1.1, are there any work arounds.
So;
1. Rules (As long as my users are made aware of this, it should be ok. Is there a ETA for a fix)

2. Random crashes (How frequent? Known cause with workaround?)

3. Import messes with headers. (Is this true of 'Migration' tool? Is the a workaround? ETA for fix?)

4. Reminders not appearing or wrong time. (ETA for fix?)

5. Mail stuck in outbox. (How common? Is there a workaround? ETA for fix?)

6. Slow (I tried a 9000 message folder using a 6yr old workstation running Linux as the server - It seemed alright to me

On the server;

1. Corrupt index leaves mail with date of import. (This one troubles me. How common? Is there a workaround? ETA for fix?)

Thank to anyone who takes the trouble to reply.

Rules are not necesarily a problem. Rules are server-side and your users could just login to webmail and setup/adjust the mail rules there. (The local 'Outlook rules' won't work.) Limitations are that rules can only be applied to incoming messages, not to messages already in your INBOX. (I do find that if I need to move a lot of messages, I can just do a search and then move the found messages. Since mail rules are moslty used for moving messages, this does not seem a big issue to me.)
