I have Mac OSX server runing the lastest Kerio email server and updated anti virus software (Mcafee). Last month (near the lastest sober worm release) my kerio mail server slowed down.

To send an email, even user to user within the server, it takes too long, over an hour, upto overnight.

What has happened?? It didnt do this before...

any ideas?

thanks
JB

a correction....

If the email is sent to a user on kerio server, the email gets delieveried in a timely fashion. Only for emails sent from kerio user to kerio user.

However, the problem still resides when you send to kerio mail server or send from kerio mail server to any other email server, (for example:<_at_>yahoo.com)

thanks again,

JB

PS anyone else experiencing this?

Do you have the Spam Repellent feature enabled? If so this delays inbound SMTP connections for the specified number of seconds. You will also see this delay when using Outlook or another mail client that uses SMTP to connect to the server.

im sure the slow down is from the queue of emails being sent. The queue became large when the sober worm reintroduced itself near Dec 15th.

Question:

Can i apply a filter to block any emails with the subject cia, fbi,or the word smtp in it... I would like to delete it so it would never get in the queue to send, thus elimating most of my email traffic.

any thoughts or ideas?

thanks
