trying to setup my mail server with IIs6 installed, turned off IIs smtp and left kms with port 25.
unable to recieve or send emails, all have the same message 'cannot connect to remote host' the email that i send from another computer gets all the way to my server but in the message queue says 'cannot connect to remote host'

pleas help me............i've been on this for a week now

'cannot connect to remote host' implies that the problem lies somewhere than SMTP. The two most likely culprits are:

1) DNS -- does the host running kerio server have a correct DNS set up? At the very least, can you PING hosts from there?

2) FireWall -- there's a firewall on your network that has to be told it's OK for your mail server to make outgoing SMTP (port 25) connections.

There's something to start with, anyway...
