Hi there,

I had contact with the dutch technical support about this but they don't know the answer. Hopefully somebody overhere can help me.

A customer of me has WinRoute Pro version 4.2.3. We wan't to advise them to upgrade to Kerio Mailserver 6.1.2. The issue is what will happen when we perform an upgrade on the live server, will the wizard perform a good upgrade?

The mail layout of v6 is .EML but version 4 has it's own mailformat. So can I somehow convert the existing mail messages to the new version 6 using .EML files? Wil the installation wizard do this?

Thanks.

Hi Marcel,

The gap between WinRoute 4 and KMS 6.1 is very large - several years!

You should not do a direct upgrade to KMS 6.1. You should:

1) Upgrade to version 5.7.10 (at http://download.kerio.com)
2) Upgrade to version 6.1.2 (current version)

There are a tremendous number of differences between WinRoute Pro and KMS 6.1. I suggest you understand them before upgrading.

Also you will need a current subscription in order to upgrade or recieve technical support on this.

Cheers,
Joshua
