I am currently evaluating KFW as a VPN Tool for my small business. I just need any easy VPN access to my shared network files for employees at home.

I have the software installed on a secondary server on my LAN running windows 2000 server.

I have incoming VPN traffic routed to this machine via a hardware firewall (port forwarding).

here are my problems:

Once I activate KFW I can no longer "see" the server from other network computers -- this includes browsing or pinging. This is bad because there are shared files and resources that must be available from this server on the local subnet.

From the secondary server I can only ping by ip address to the LAN but I can ping anything on the internet by name or ip address.

my vpn-ssl problem is I am able to connect and authenticate and get to the point where I can see my domain name in the browser, but then I get the following error message when I try to browse my domain:

Unable to open specified path
An extended error has occurred (error num 1208)
Requested path "WATER"

Any help would be appreciated. The program for the most part seems to work well, especially the ssl-vpn is the vpn solution I am seeking, but if I can't make it work then I'll have to continue my search.

Thanks again

Greg
