My company is currently using IMAIL for their email platform, but we are not very satisfied with the product. Thus, we are looking for an alternative.

I downloaded the demo version of kerio and was very impressed with it. It had public folders and a way for us to have a global addresss book (or contact list) that everyone could access.

However, when i looked for group mailboxes i was very disappointed. I even called tech support and there really is no group mailbox feature. There is a distribution list under group where you can add multipple addresses but that's about it.

We have several group mailboxes that clients email and our travel agents usually have these mailboxes added to their profile in outlook...something you can't do with the kerio outlook connector. Or better yet if there was option to have an additional mailbox under public folders...that would be even better.

Just a suggestion for future releases. In the meantime...i will keep looking for something better than Imail and less expensive than Exchange.

thanks

You can create a public folder, give only the group you want to access the folder rights to it. That'll insure that only they see it and can read the mail. Then create an alias, and have it direct the mail to the public folder you just created.
