if you want to change passwords you have to log in securely.

example of normal login:
http://webmail.domain.com

example of secure login:
https://webmail.domain.com

Your users will get a warning for a self assigned certificate unless you want to buy and install a certificate for each domain you server emails for.

If I am understanding your problem correctly your mail server is indeed running correctly but in order for your users to change their passwords they have to login under https not http. Your users can login all the time under https if they want to. Kerio requires you to login securely for password changes this as far as I know is not changeable.
