we have a problem with kerio when receiving emails with attachments. the smtp-stream is checked by a firewall. the check takes some time.

some mails including attachments are received hours after the first smtp-connection (the sending mail-server tries to send the mail again in 30 minutes). in the warning.log i can find entries like " SMTP server connection from XX.XX.XX.XX lost: (11) Resource temporarily unavailable). XX.XX.XX.XX is the ip-adress of the mail-server, which tries to send mails to our server.

is it possible to increase the timeout when receiving mails?

I get this error message when sending larger files. I put in a ticket and called on the phone but tech support seems clueless so far.

So you're using secure SMTP. What happens if you take SSL out of the equation?
