Hi,

A customer uses KMS as an server and entourage as an client.
This al works fine but it seems there is a kind of caching in the system. If they look at there email thru the webmailer they see new email and if they look in entourage they dont. Only when a changen hase been made bnew email pops up in entourage.

Anybody got any info tips help about this issue?

Are they using IMAP or Exchange mode? Is it the INBOX or other message folders that this happens with or both?

Hi,

They use Imap and seem to have this issue with all folders.

In Entourage you can do this:

Tools > Accounts > Options and select 'Live Sync'

This might help. If not, then manually selecting each folder should refresh them.

I have to revoke my first answer.
It seems that they use the exchange option and not the Imap option. The notice this extreamly on the inbox folder

What version of KMS and which version of Entourage?

It should only take 10-15 seconds for new messages to show.

You can try and rebuild the message index in Entourage in each folder:

Right click (or ctrl click) on the message folders that are giving the most problems and select 'empty cache' This will refresh the message folder. It can take a long time if you have a lot of messages!

Try this first.

Hi

I have a customer that claims the same. Entourage 11.2.3 is connected to KMS 6.1.3 as Exchange account. They say that when mail arrives to KMS it will not show up in Entourage.

We have been doing extended logging (WebDAV) on the server for quite some time already and from what we and support can tell the mails are displayed to Entourage just a few seconds after they arrive in KMS. However they are not displayed in Entourage.

So there must be some caching issue or communication issue between the KMS and Entourage client.

Regards,
Conny
