Hi,

I have a problem with connecting to a VPN Server with one specific computer type. As normal user and Administrator
- Windows XP Sp2
- VPN Client 1.2.1
- Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG v9.0.4.13

It seems that a tunnel is created and both sides do appear as 'connected' but there is no traffic.

Strangely when waiting for several minutes there is suddenly traffic. This 'pause' can vary in minutes.

Other computers do not 'suffer' this problem.

Hi,

Same problem here. And following is what I found and hope it helps.

When the problem occur, VPN Client is unable to add a host route to VPN server which should look like:

[VPN server IP address] 255.255.255.255 [Local Area network Gateway]

A quick fix is adding a host route manually by following command line:
route add [VPN server IP address] mask 255.255.255.255 [Local Area netwrok Gateway]

But this will be very annoying since local gateway will be changed everytime when you moved to a new place.

[Update]
After looking at several clients routing table. A rough estimation is that Kerio VPN client can't get info of default route with metric other than 1.

regards

Thanks for your answer.

Using the 1.0.7 VPN client also resolved my issue.

Client 1.2.1 should be used with KWF 1.2.1 according to Tech support. I think I use KWF v6.1.3. and cannot update yet.

Strangely other clients do work normally.
