The spam feature has a sending return mail to spam emails, however it is very stupid in the part that it does not check to see if the mail domain actually exists.

There are 2 kinds of spam emails:

1. fake return address or domain does not exist
2. the return address actually exists

I would like to send return spam mails to those addresses that exists... I think it's very simple to implement a DNS lookup on this, no?

That would make kerio more intelligent.

1. In KMS, you can do a lookup if a sender domain exists, if not, you can block the mail

2. If the return address exists, it is not wise to send a mail back, because in 95% of the cases the return addresses of Spam is faked, so you send the mail back to somone who is not aware of having sent something to you. So you would increase the amount of spam

All in all I find that KMS has quite an intelligent Spam feature.

I agree. All you end up doing is spamming innocent people with spam notifications. You could get blacklisted by some blacklists for this as well.

the problem is... if the client is infected with some virus that keeps on sending out spam emails... and eventually getting blacklisted... that would be a problem.

however it is also true that sending return mail can become a spam itself.

Yes, but if he is infected with a virus, the virus may spoof the sender (most of them do), so he wouldn't get the return message anyway.
