If I use KMS with Mac Entourage 2004 clients, can my users access public calendar/contact (and email) data while offline (via adding to 'Favorites' in Entourage)

I've read much discussed about offline support for Windows Outlook coming in a future KMS version, but I'm wondering if/how this currently applies to Entourage users w/ the current 6.2 version.

Thanks!

Email yes, public calendar + contact no. You can choose to download entire email messages in Entourage or headers only.

Sonofcolin:

Careful with your advice: I just tried it w/KMS demo, and I'm able to access public contacts and calendar data offline just fine. Even made some changes offline, and they sync right up when back online.

Maybe you thought I meant something else?

Did you access your public calendar or another users? If the calendar is in the public folder you are out of luck. My answer still stands.

Public folders in Entourage 2004 SP2 are for on-line access only. This is a "feature" in Entourage. However, they are accessible offline when moved to "Favorites" in Entourage.
So, the answer is *yes*. But it depends on Entourage version.

Nope - the calendar is in a public folder, but all you need to do is drag (once) into 'Favorites' (as per pdobry's post, and, which I specifically asked about in the OP), and voila - offline access. Works great.
