I have setup Kerio Mailserver on my computer. All works fine but I can't establish a SMTP session with mij provider.
On the same computer Outlook-Express is installed and I can send and receive mail via POP3 /SMTP. My provider is orange and the SMTP server is SMTP.ORANGE.NL
Why can I not send an Email message with Kerio to this SMTP server of my provider.Result: failed, Status: 4.4.1 Cannot connect to remote host.
My provider answers me that they do not support Mail servers on private DSL connections, but what is the difference between a private mailer for my familiy or 4 different PC's with Outlook-Express installed.
Are there setting for this kind of Email delivery with Kerio?

I have found out what I did wrong.
I use McAfee Virus scanner on my server and that scanner was blocking port 25 to the outsite world.
Disabeling the blocking of that port enabled the possibility of mailing to my SMTP provider.

Hm, I just hate it when anti-virus programs actually install firewalls under the name of 'anti-worm-filter', etc. Seems common practice though.
