Just wondering what the most common setup is. I currently have our KMS server in a DMZ, with very strict rules as to who and what can access what.

Do most people do this, or just put it in the LAN and NAT the traffic through?

I'm running KMS on the same server as KWF (Kerio Winroute Firewall). So KMS is essentially on the LAN as well as the WAN. (KWF is regulating who can access what IP port.)

I'm doing like you. KMS is in the DMZ with strict rules about access to/from the LAN. That way my users can use either their email client or webmail to access email when they're out of the office and we don't have to deal with VPN just for email access.
