I'm using Kerio 6.2.0 and Entourage v11.2.5.

The only place that the Kerio GAL (Global Address list) shows up is in the Public folders in Entourage. The GAL does not work when accessing through the main Address Book button or when creating a new message and using the pull down menu to select the Kerio GAL. It is empty and gives me a message that "Entourage cannot connect to the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network". And of course I am connected as I can send/receive mail and actually see the GAL in the Public folder.

Has anyone ever gotten this to work with Kerio or does it only work with an actual Exchange server?

I've got it working fine. I've had that message a few times but it ususally sorts itself out after a restart from Entourage- however I've actually had it more when connecting to Exchange rather than Kerio.

Can you ellaborate on how you configured Entourage to make that work. So far I've tried entering the IP address of the Kerio server in the Public folders and the LDAP server fields. Quit and relaunched Entourage but I still get the cannot connect to server message.

I have my LDAP server set to Kerio's IP i.e. 192.x.x.x and public folders set to 192.x.x.x/public

Also, LDAP is set to port 389 and 'server requires me to log in' is ticked.

Hope this helps
