Can someone recommend the proper way to setup a redundant server (hardware) for fault protection?

Thanks,
Eric

There are many ways and levels of fault protection. What are you thinking of?

If I setup a duplicate computer with KMS installed, what are the best procedures for this setup?

How can KMS & the hardware be setup to provide:
1. Little or no downtime
2. Instant access to all existing email (as in mirror the email store)

Would you recommend mirroring the entire system drive with KMS on it (RAID)?

If you want an automatic failover system to completely takeover the role of the (failed) KMS server I'd suggest you look into specialised software like DoubleTake (http://www.doubletake.com/).

Then you have a server constantly syncing itself to KMS and taking over its server name and IP address when the 'real' KMS goes down. Your users probably wouldn't even notice something went wrong with the server...
