when I try to send a message through smtp I'm constantly getting:

could not send message:

<mymailadress> (smtp-mx5.mac.com: 501 5.0.0 HELO requires domain address)Reporting-MTA: dns;
Arrival-Date: Tue, 12 Sep 2006 19:11:03 +0200

I'm getting this for various mailservers, but not for all of them. any solution?

It sounds like you don't have a fully qualified domain name specified in the Internet Hostname on the Domains settings screen. Try setting it to a FQDN like mail.yourdomain.com.

Right on the top of the domains screen. It's not actually a part of the individual domain settings, it's just above the list of domains you've set up. The Internet Hostname is the name the server will use to identify itself during communication with other servers.
