Hi Folks Smile

I just installed the trial version of Kerio 6.2.2-1746 on a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition...

I did love this forum, it helped a lot with so many problems, but now I'm the one begging for someone else's experience.

I want to enable UPnP on my network, so, things could work properly, like the messengers, and other programs that need a listenning port to the public interface.

I went to the configuration part in Kerio and turn it on, with the following settings:

x Enable UPnP
Port Mapping timeout: 3600 secs
x Log Packet
x Log Connections

And at the Degub log window I enable the "UPnP IGD Service", so I can follow the information about this feature, and I'll I got are "failed" messages on the log:

[19/Sep/2006 10:10:58] {upnp_service} reply_to_udp_request - request2reply (192.168.1.110) failed (possibly due to invalid request: NOTIFY * HTTP/1.1

[19/Sep/2006 10:10:58]

There are some other messages I believe is a broadcast annoucement to all clients like:

[19/Sep/2006 10:12:01] {upnp_service} sending periodicaly multicast from 192.168.1.5
[19/Sep/2006 10:12:01] {upnp_service} igd_device_service() sending advertisement to: 192.168.1.5

And I did find one message working, but only one in more than 2mb of log:

[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] {upnp_service} reply_to_tcp_request() incoming connection from: 192.168.1.208
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] {upnp_service} parse_http_request() request received from: 192.168.1.208 request:
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] POST /wr/upnp/wanip/control HTTP/1.1
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] {upnp_service} parse_http_request() request from 192.168.1.208 is O.K., going to do the best effort to fullfill it
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] {upnp_service} AddPortMapping invoked params are:
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] NewRemoteHost:
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] NewExternalPort: 18131
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] NewProtocol: TCP
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] NewInteralPort: 4670
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] , NewInternalClient: 192.168.1.208
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] NewEnabled: true
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] NewPortMappingDescription: MsnMsgr (192.168.1.208:4670) 18131 TCP
[19/Sep/2006 10:07:17] NewLeaseDuration: 0

Can anyone help me to solde this UPnP problem, the last router we have worked fine with all kind of softwares, but this one looks confused to select what it allows or not to use the UPnP.

Thank you in advance for any kind of help .. I'll try to contribute with my experience to other users too.

Big hugs from the tropical (but rainny these last days) Brazil.

AFAIK the uPnP imlementation of KWF is not complete. They implemented a part of the protocol to make just Messenger work (who knows all, or, if not, what versions).

So it seems to be a problem to try to get it to work, if it doesn't, since the protocol is not fully supported on KWF.
