Hello,

I'm Juan and I have been having troubles with my Kerio Mail Server, this problem is when all my users send emails using web-mail or any client (Outlook, OutlookExpress). The Kerio Mail server send this message:

Result: delayed, Status: 4.6.5 Antivirus check cannot be performed

In this moment the solution is to restart the server, this the second time that I do that in this week.

I went to the Antivirus section, and uncheck the box for McAfee and click Apply. When I did that my mail start sending; but then I did the inverse then check the box and click Apply. Restart the MailServer process and my mail does not sending.

Any ideas for a solution?

Hi,

I've got multiple Kerio servers and have had this problem on 2 installs. They are both running on OS X (10.6.1 and 10.6.Cool one is running 7.1.3 and the other 7.2.3p1.
Are both of you running Kerio Connect on the mac? I did log a call with Kerio but they said no one else had reported it thus far. I'll call them again tomorrow and post any solution if I get any.

Beatle

No, we use RHEL. I unchecked the virus engine, applied the change and the emails went out. I then checked it and applied that change and since then I haven't seen anything stuck in the queue with that error. We'll see how it goes.

Same here, there isn't a need to restart the server in case this affects anyone else. I've re-enabled Sophos on one box and will see if it happens again.

I have alerted Kerio.

Thanks
Beatle

Try enable Antivirus debug log. (web administration -> right click to debug log area -> "Messages..." -> "Antivirus Checking")

I'm having the same issue. This thread has over 6,000 views, so I'm pretty sure a lot of other people are experiencing this as well.

The thread is 5 years old (from 2006). At that time, the standard virus scanner was McAfee, now it is Sophos. So the number of views is probably not indicating if a lot of people have this problem now.

I can confirm the exact same behavior running version 7.3.2 and ClamAV. This only happens when we have large attachments. Looking at the debug log, it appears it just takes it some time to scan and Kerio times out possibly, giving this message? Just my guess. I can send the debug log in if it would be beneficial.

Ok, my two cents worth on this one...

I had the same problem with my previous Kerio server deployment. But that server was a virtual and the disk subsystem was under a heavy amount of use. When we would get alot of email traffic I would get errors/delays. Our specific issue was the disk subsystem not keeping up with the virtual demand. I moved our mail server to physical and have not had any issues since. That was version 7.1.3.

So when you get this issue are you having hardware problems? Spikes in email traffic that the equipment can't handle?
